Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip in October this year. Several brands, including Realme, are expected to announce their flagship phones equipped with the new chip. In November 2024, the brand announced the Realme GT 7 equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It is likely that the Realme GT 8 Pro may debut around the same time in China. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station has seemingly revealed the key specifications of the GT 8 Pro.
Realme GT 8 Pro key specifications tipped


According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of Realme’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered smartphone, which appears to be the Realme GT 8 Pro, features a flat OLED screen that supports 2K resolution. Like its predecessor, the GT 8 Pro will continue to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The GT 8 Pro’s rear camera setup will include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The tipster also mentioned that the device will feature a metal middle frame and support 100W charging. As far as its battery is concerned, the tipster revealed that its capacity will not be less than 7,000mAh.
To recall, the Realme GT 7 Pro features a 6.78-inch micro-quad-curved Samsung AMOLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 6,500mAh battery with 120W charging. The global version of the phone packs a smaller 5,800mAh battery.
On the front, the GT 7 Pro has a 16-megapixel snapper, and its back panel has a 50-megapixel (OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (3x periscope, OIS) triple camera setup. In China, the device ships with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
